Trade ? Dingwall for 4003S

I broke both wrists in a motorcycle accident a year and a half ago . I can play my 4004 Cii ok but am having trouble with my 5 string basses . I have a purple 5 string Dingwall Afterburner I would like to trade for a 4 string or converted 5 string 4003S . I also have a 77 Autumn glo 4001 and other basses someone might be intersted in for possible trade . Ideas ?

I broke my left wrist playing soccer when I was kicking the ball and someone took my plant foot out from under me, then down I go, right on it. It took about a year until I could play without pain again.

Can you post pics of your Dingwall? Maybe this should be in Rickenbackers Wanted section...

About 7 years ago I got arthritis so bad I could barely play and barely walk ... I took lots of coral calcium and other supplements and now I can play good and walk good ... and I can even do both at the same time ...

I've never seen a dingwall afterburner ... post a pic ...

Hey Jeff . Both at the same time ? Hope you do'nt walk too far when you are playing

I think a Rath modified RIC will help my situation in the future . I could play better 6 months after my accident , now a year and a half later I'm developing scar tissue that is making the joints stiff . You should visit the Dingwall web site . They are very innovative.

I have always been intrigued by the fan-fretting used by Dingwall. Each string has it's own scale.

I would imagine that playing that bass would take some considerable time to get used to. I sure it's nice though.

I played one a few years ago and it took little adjustment. It felt very natural and sounded awesome......it really surprised me how easy it was to play. Nice basses.

It is actually easy to play ( without broken wrists ). Bass Player magazine said " the B string is the voice of god " and that's a fact . I love this Dingwall. Since the B is 37" and the G is 34" all the strings have almost the same tension . She feels Good and sounds huge !!
