4003 Used Prices

Well I just bought an '05 4003FG and the neck is very comfy. I was used to playing a '72 Telecaster bass with a 'Jazz-like' thin neck and was worried about the neck dimensions but when I got it I was very pleased with the neck. Very easy to play and the neck is quite fast IMHO. It came from the factory with the 'Toaster' neck pup. I am hoping maybe one day it too will be somewhat rare because of this.

Monty Brown was a very well received COY. When they do turn up, they go quick and for a little more than the standard colors.
It looks like a few dealers still have 4003's in Monty Brown on order- wonder how they'yy look with walnut ears....
(Just to clarify: MB = Monty Brown, MID = Midnight Blue right?)

A '74 4001 with not too unreasonable of a price, especially with black trim:
