Chrome Maintenace
I was just wondering what I should do to make sure all the chrome parts on my guitar stay in good condition, don't rust, etc. Any insight into the matter would be most appreciated.

A good coat of high-quality wax that has no abrasives is best. My usual all-purpose wax, Zymol Cleaner-Wax (light blue, in a bottle) is excellent. Turtle Wax in a bottle, #123, recommended by the RIC factory, is also great.
A warning, while we're on the subject: You do not want to use automotive chrome polish to clean guitar chrome. It's far too abrasive and it'll scratch.

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”
