That sucks but it is true that double neck Ricks (especially the 4080) were not the most comfortable instruments to play. This instrument apparently shows the owner's solution to the frustration.

It can be restored, right? The missing piece can be added by a luthier, and then the guitar can be refinished in some opaque color (I'd do it in Blueboy if it were mine) and bound. A good luthier can do it.
