C58 Question

Post by patrickg »

Okay, I've had my C58 since last fall and I'm a big idiot. I know that the tone controls are "reversed wired," etc.--but when I flip the toggle switch I can't detect any difference between the middle position and the up position. In either position both the middle and neck pup are engaged. No amount of playing with the controls changes the sound between the two positions. Is this the way it should be? Am I stupid or what?

I don't know if the 325 was wired this way, but on RIC's with three pups, the neck and middle are wired together. Down is full bridge, middle is all three and up is neck and middle (I seem to recall thats how my 370 is set-up).
