Ah, Kotex! And here I thought they were intended for absorbing a carafe of blue liquid (or so I've seen on TV)... "keep Kotex Brand in mind next time you need to drain out a barbershop jar of combs, mop up a spill of windshield washer fluid, or restore a Chevy" <cue>

I saw that Target has diaper cloths in their automotive section. I was wondering how diaper soft they really were for guitar finishes.

Make certain that they say "100% cotton". If they do, and they feel soft, then you're good to go.

Ok. The ScratchX and Zymol work great! But are you sure the diapers help Paul? I am not clear on how the diapers help.

I bought this Hoffs Ltd. Ed. off of Ebay a month or so ago. I thought it might need a refin. I tried Scratch-X and Zymol. It don't need no refin no mo'. I could've probably used 3m Perfect It III first and it would've been even better.....

Those imperfections you see are only "reflections".

Seriously though John were you considering a refin on this, because it looks superb in these shots after the "Curmudgeon Treatment" Are you pleased with you efforts or are you still thinking refin?

Ron, it had a number of regular scratches and the JG finish really shows these. I was thinking of a Purple-burst but after I spent two hours on her, I changed my mind. The Zymol seems like it "feeds" the clearcoat. The shine is hard to explain. It looks even better in person.

BTW, the frets and finger board really came back to life with the Scratch-X and Zymol treatment too.

One of Paul's Purpleburst finishes would be nice John, but if it's only got a couple of scratches, and you reckon it looks better in person, than in the photos, then I'd be happy with JG! (Are you, is more to the point?)

How does this guitar sound compared to other Rics? I'm sure you'd have another 350 for comparison wouldn't you?
