The term hackneyed comes to mind. If the subject was not so serious, the parody could have been somewhat comical.

Ronn,

That version is great. I like it. Your band is very good IMO.

Well, we'll just turn it into the Eggmen thread. I liked the way they nailed the harmonies on 'This Boy'... that harmony may sound easy to do, but just try it.

We had a busy weekend, played Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, then had a band pool party yesterday with much beer and steaks. Just woke up and checked in on the Ric Forum and I find all these kind words, thanks guys! One track on that link I'm particularly proud of is "My Generation". Recorded from a live radio broadcast, on the most-popular FM station in Austin. LOTS of people listening, and it's going out LIVE. I was feeling a bit of pressure when it came to the bass solo, I thought it came off well. We were jammed into this tiny broadcast booth with all our gear and a DJ. We're now on 2 weeks vacation.

yup, very good job on JJF... spoken by someone who has performed it badly. In my thinking its one of those songs that you either do WELL or dont do at all. Just MHO.... a bunch of Beatle songs fall into that catagory too.

Having said that, I've seen/heard the Stones do a HORRIBLE version of Jumpin Jack Flash. Mick and Keef should have left it to the Eggmen.
