720 looks and no bid?

Post by bassduke49 »

Why has this one received no bids?

We all must be waiting for the ones we ordered already?

Yes,
It's mine and I've gotten a lot of e-mails, some that are scams,bu yet no bids.

I have 37 people watching it right now and it hasn't gone up in a day.

If it doesn't sell, I guess I'm keeping her. And I don't plan on lowering the price any further.

That is a beautiful bass! Is there a corrosion problem in Seattle? My bass came from New England and it did get some mildew in the case and some corrosion on the hardware. I see yours says climate controlled, but I just wondered in general, if the salt air caused problems?

Kaia,

Not that I'm aware. Of course I don't leave my windows open or take my instruments out in an open location.

Don't start cursing it for the rest of us Seattle-ites! We had three great weekends in a row and now back to "normal".

Greg,

I'm sure it will. It's going back to So Cal.
It just hurt me to open the case and wipe down the bass and get her ready for shipping. It's so mint and so beautiful. I really love this finish.
On an up note, I gave Dale Fortune a visit over the weekend and brought my '66 4005OS for his review. Superb fellow and amazing projects he has on the works. One being a 4001 Amberglo bass that belongs to one of the forumites. My wife and I loved the finish. AMAZING!
I just can't wait for the 4005 to be finished. It will take a while but worth the wait. It's going to be my favorite finish, not the original MG.
