Looks kind of rough to me, starting bid $999.00??

You can get a brand new one for around $1100.00

I'd at least wait on a nicer one.

There are a bazillion '75s out there. That one is noting special and a little pricey.

Dave, that GC rep Blueboy has the Hipshot bridge, did you notice? Missing two knobs: you'd think a GC would have a baggie pack of those generic "vintage" knobs sitting on the wall. Hello?

I watched ebay for a long time before I bought my 1980 4001mg. They go for around 900-950. Jetglow could be a little more, but I don't think so! Check all the closed auctions for an idea of how they are selling( like we don't?) and don't buy one with damage like that one!

Kaia.. The serial # is correct. However, it is missing the first two digits. I bet you that it is from 2004. It cannot be brand new. It does not have the green tint that so many had from last year.

Paul, I did see that.. GO GUITAR CENTER...

Aren't there two letters on the jack? I would think they would give them, so you could decode the SN. Sheesh, are the serials that high now?

My Blue Boy 4003 is dated August 2002.
The serial # is 32204 on the jackplate and 0232204 on the warranty sticker and slip.

If that helps.

I called the Phoenix GC on this and their not budging on the BIN price. The bridge, knobs, pickguard are all replacement, but not objectionable in my book. It's been up for auction 4 times with no bids. It has been the subject of discussion in the "BB opinions" thread. I like it, but only for the collector value. It would have to be a 2004 unless it came here via Japan.
No matter where you go - there you are.

Wes,
The serial # is exactly 1000 less than mine and mine is dated August 2002.
