Definitely good news.
Walked into GC the other day and asked if they can order Ricks. Reply was yes but it would take 2 years to get one because of the waiting list. He tried to persuade me to try other guitars in stock. What's funny is the high turnover rate of employees there. Always a new face.
I only use GC as a last resort, and only for recording supplies.

"Only morally and ethically..." What else is there? LOL
Seriously though, if they are indeed without morals and ethics they don't deserve to remain in business

That's not good enough for me Paul.

You guys are big boys. You know how the world operates. The real Golden Rule is "He with the gold makes the rules." That's unfortunately very true in business today, and anyone who believes otherwise is kidding themselves.
So, there's no guarantee that a Bad Goliath is going to be slain by a Good Little David anywhere but in the Bible.
There are fortunately a few exceptions to this sad circumstance, and our friends at RIC are the most obvious to us!
My own experiences in thirty years of being a tiny business dealing with Fortune 500 corporations virtually every day of my own existence taught me how to survive on my own wits and still remain honest and, believe me, it's harrowing.
If, however, you're a consultant, and a huge and nasty corporation needs your talents badly enough, you can get them to at least leave you alone to do your job, and then pay you on time.
But restoring guitars for one tenth the money, for nice people, is much more personally rewarding!

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Now that struck a chord. I had to read that twice it's so funny and so true. That's been the story of my business life, ever since I became a consultant.
I love the way you get to the essence of things Paul. Thanks for making me laugh. I needed that today.

And, Brian, did you hear the one about the Scottish minister, the penguin, and the dancing bear?
Ummm...on second thought, maybe another time...
Anyway, that's one thing I love about this Forum...whenever I'm fishing for a compliment, you guys and gals always come through for me!
