Peter Buck! Johnny Marr, too, I'd bet. Maybe the Edge?

Tony Carey too... Well he's sort of famous. Especially around these parts.

Radiohead uses/used mostly Ricks with hi-gains. I've seen Johnny play a 350v63, but they normally play stock 330s and 360s.

Johnny played a 350 ? I thought at least one of Thom's 330s was toaster-equipped. Edge's are both 21-fret w/ toasters and 12-strings.

Paul Kantner (Jefferson Airplane) uses hi-gains on his 360/12s.

I think the Airplane pre-dates Hi-Gains...
Did he change them out?

Mike Skill of the Romantics had a 70's 340...
The two LPs that he's on have a clear hi-gain tone.

Here's an early video with Johnny playing his 350v63JG. Ed's got a nice vintage 360/12MG as well.

RE: I think the Airplane pre-dates Hi-Gains...

I meant he uses them NOW (current tense).
[I might be wrong. It's been known to happen. I'll attach a current photo of one of his guitars when I get home.]

I only mentioned JA as a way to identify him in case some don't know who Kantner was/is.

Chris, thanks a ton for posting that video! I had been a very dedicated follower of Radiohead's gear for a very long time but had never seen that one before.

However, I have to think that all of those guitars were used simply for the video shoot, as none of them were ever used live or were ever shown with the band again.

Colin never used a Les Paul bass, Thom never used that Gibson Blues King, Jonny certainly never used a Rick, and that 360/12 w/ toasters is not the guitar Ed was usually seen with, which was a 360BT.

Definitely not. Those are toaster pickups.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
