Hey Gary,

Well done, it's an absolutely beautiful bass. Something tells me we won't see it back on the market again for a looooooong time! Congratulations! Image

I may be off topic again... i unfortunately know very little about technical characteristics of 4005s, but i like Ken. He never did any harm to me - actually, nobody on this forum ever did. Nuff said.
Congratulations, Gary - this one looks cute, and, as somebody said, if something looks cute then it should really be cute Image

Seth, a simple "Congrats" and "4005's aren't for me" would suffice. Grow up and if you can't be respectful try not posting.

I paid the same for my 4005 as I did for my first house. I honestly think that it is a great bass and worth every penny that I paid!

It's "Horses for courses", If it is what you want then it is a good bass!!!

Looks like Seth (real name Vincent Gallo & failed actor/producer) lost out to Gary on this one?
Congrats Gary, it is a beautiful bass and I would love to have it. It has tons of 60's mojo and I bet plays and sounds as good as it looks.

Gee, I obviously missed something in the few years I was away. Very grade -schoolish. Back in the day, the worst thing you could say was "your mother wears army boots". Times sure have changed! Hope these guys don't live within driving distance of each other! Oh, and the bass is beautiful, great score, congrats, and best of luck!

Big congrats on the bass, Gary.
Recently for a recording project, I worked out my bass parts, and which bass to use.
After much consideration and repeated playing of the tunes on a Hofner, Alembic, and a V63 Rick, I decided to go with my 4005.
It ain't just a pretty guitar, it is a unique-toned, wonderfully playing bass.
That guy hurt my feelings. The bully!
