Colors of the years

Post by grinch »

I feel kind of dumb for asking this, but...

How long has RIC been doing their color of the year thing, and what has the color of the year been for each year?

Thanks!

In recent times, the colour of the year began in 2000 with Sea Green. This was followed by Desert Gold in 2001 and the Montezuma Brown over a two year period 2003-2004. Blue Boy was introduced in 2004, Blueburst in 2005 and Amber Fireglo 2006.

C'mon Scott! It's WAY to early to start that L-O-O-O-N-N-G-G thread yet! With everybody saying "Well, John Hall told me that the clue was the square root of 37 divided by the per capita income of Zaire. Then it was the color of his babysitters hairdressers first car."

Or something like that...

I hope the next one is another burst. I love the butterscotch, hone, and iced tea bursts on Les Pauls. That would be a nice touch on a RIC. They could call them Butterglo, or teaglo, or something to that effect. I like Butterglo. It's catchy...

Or maybe a red sparkly RIC called Sparklglo. Or better yet, here's an idea. RIC introduces a sparkle finish that we can choose any color they have on the books. Midnite Blue would look really sleek as a sparkle finish... It may sound cheesy but I remember a couple years ago Gibson did them on the Les Paul line. I had a red one and a blue one.

Pearlescent white with pearl flake picguards and TRC....sounds crazy, but I think it would look cool on a Ric, as long as the white is guaranteed not to yellow, LOL! Image Then it might look too much like a Minnesota snowbank after the dogs have made their rounds.... :P

JH said something to the effect of "You will not see another new white Rick," sorry Melissa! That would be pretty nice looking.

Peter, you couldn't get any instrument in Burgundy? The only guitar I can think of offhand that I haven't seen in Burgundy is a 381.

"Well, John Hall told me that the clue was the square root of 37 divided by the per capita income of Zaire. Then it was the color of his babysitters hairdressers first car."

And the answer is: 42!
Now, what was the question?

I owned a 381/12 BG. I sold it to Kenny Howes who then sold it to Andrew Spencer. He still has it.
