4003-Appropriate Neck Position Hi-Gain Wanted

Post by alanz »

In a desperate attempt to stave off using my Jazz instead of my BronzeGlo 4003 I'd like to replace the toaster I put in it with a hi-gain. I can 1) buy it outright or b) trade for said toaster.

Said toaster is about 6 months old and has had approximately 10 000 (+/-10%) notes pumped through it.

Pictures of said toaster installed in said BronzeGlo here.

I think my profile has my email address in it.

I can build you a high-gain pickup, Alan. And you get to keep your toaster one. Interested?
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't paying attention. So the red rick with the jazz p/u's in it is the BEFORE picture? God bless you then, cuz that was a sad looking bass...

Hmmm.. Bronzglo, that's a very rare color isn't it?

Not only is it rare, it's abominable!

Can someone tell me what size the screws used to mount a neck position hi-gain to the pickguard are?

Same as the toaster. I looked at the RIC parts blowup for the pickups but it calls out the wood screw for the guitar. The bass takes a 6-32 screw I believe, and about 3/4" long. Try a 6-32 in the middle threaded hole and see if it goes. The RIC Boutique sells the hardware under Miscellanous if you want to go that route, or get stainless screws locally.
