Stone Roses's Gari Mounfield 4005

Post by ealdrett »

I know some people may care about this.
From the looks of the bass from the videos, it appears his 4005 could be a early model, '66 perhaps? Headstock shows it.
Anyway, check out the videos with Gari playing the 4005.

Here's the video with the 4005 MG pre-custom paint:

Anyone know if Gari has been playing it with Primal Scream?
Anyone hear the rumors that John Squire is considering reforming the Roses?

It's actually Gary 'Mani' Mounfield.
I apologize for the repeat in the post. I just noticed it in the Artist section. DOH.

Mani doesn't use that 4005 anymore. I think he's using a 3000 with the Scream.

Yeah I've never seen him use it live with the primals. I have seen some pictures and vids before of the 4005 unpainted. Better painted though ;)

I can guarantee you he's using Rotosound flats with that Bass. The tone is WAY to mellow for him to be playing rounds and using a pick.

GREAT BAND!!! I hope they get back together.

Yeah he uses a 3000 (think he has 2 that he switches between) and he played through 2x marshall stacks when last I saw him.
