Book progress

Post by bassduke49 »

I just had lunch with Brad Smith at Hal Leonard Publishing, and although I have nothing in paper yet, he indicates that the company is very interested in "Rickenbacker Basses - 50 Years As Rock's Bottom," and they may want to add it to the line as soon as Fall 2007. Brad was impressed with the all the different models and finishes that I've documented at the Rickenbacker Confluences, and I have you folks to thank for that! I've been invited over to the offices to start some book planning, so it looks like this is really going to happen. Hard to say right now about the page count and price point, but if you're familiar with HL's line of instrument reference books, we all should be happy with how it will turn out. I'll have more news as things progress.

Great news Paul. Sounds like the book we've all been waiting for. Thanks to the confluences, you've had access to more instruments than any previous author. A definitive book for sure.
