Nice basses, Chris. Seeing a 4005 brings out one interesting aspect to me - I would like to play one to hear the pups - one as far into the bass tones as possible and one as far into the treble tones as possible.

Fran - Oh my God!!! AAaaarrrrhhhhhhhh!!!!! (looks over shoulder) :D

I've gone back and forth on the 4005, mainly for looks. Sometimes I like them, other times I don't. But Gary's bass with the "F" Hole looks great. I think the "F" Hole gives it a distinguished look. I'm not sure what this guy was saying, but it's a good thing he is no longer around. We've had good people go away because of hurtful comments.

Lovely bass Gary! I wish it were mine.

You gotta hold a 4005, it's big and long and...MACHO! And it has a beefy growl and snarl.
Y'all come to the SoCal Confluence, you can play mine!

How is the 4005 for feedback? I used to own a hollowbody (albeit a cheap one) that you had to really watch for it taking off on you.

I got some CRAZY feedback from my 4005WB Wed. night...right at the end of this song , where it runs out....it was real low and then built up...our drummer said to let it go and had this wild look in his eyes....then he built up a drum roll that was awesome....it was great! We do this number where most of us sit down and I sit pretty close to my little Peavey combo amp.

Feedback from a bass is cool.

I've had no probs with feedback. Don't think it ever has, but I've never tried to.

I have had some feedback in the area of the A at the 7th fret on the D string if I am too close to my amp and too loud. Other than that, no problem.

The usual winning combo: too close and loud!

It didn't seem too loud at the time! Image
