The title of this thread is spot on, from many points of view. Buying, playing and talking about Rickenbackers is addictive and, and akin to fueling up these days, is a quick way to unload your wallet. In the end, however, there is the joy of this experience and the fun of sharing it with others.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

It doesn't have to be. See, I have this theory that if I become the stray bassist on Gary C., Dave P., or even any number of forumite's porches, I'd get free table scraps and maybe they'd even let me play their Ricks. Image

I wonder, who's king (or queen) of this Rickenbacker forum, in terms of number currently owned?
I only have 6, with another on Rickenbackorder.
I once stopped visiting this site for 6 months, simply because it makes me want to buy!

What's the record for lefties? I've got eight with another on order!
If there isn't a 12 string Rickenbacker playing at my funeral, I'm leaving.

I think Graham Griffiths is the current World Record Holder. I'll let him tell you how many he has. I have about 40 right now.

IIRC, my last count was at 46, but I'm thinking about selling at least two.
