Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Wow, I can't imagine having the privilege / opportunity to own more than a half dozen Ricks. My wife (better half) seems to be able to detect any new purchase as soon as it arrives, even if she is out of town. Come to think of it that's kind of scary. Anyway, I guess I'm lucky to be the very proud owner of the small stable of Ricks that I do have. With that said, I'm really Ricken-out for a new 325C64. The addiction continues!
It is what it is!

Melissa: Your quest for Rickenbackers is safe. No spying.

Alisha: This is a very long and expensive story.
Some useful cognitive treatment strategies may include: identifying situations in which one is at high risk for Rickenbacker relapse; teaching the "Rickenbacker Addicted" to identify these high risk conditions and avoid them; identifying minor lapses (such as spending time on this forum) which may be precursors to full-flegdged Rickenbacker relapses; and teaching coping strategies that reduce anxiety and compete with buying Rickenbackers.
In the end, it may be cheaper to buy another Rickenbacker that to pay for the therapy.

Avoid?
I'm a firm believer in the Williams-Griffiths "total immersion" therapeutic model for Rick obsessives.
This is similar to the method used to treat phobics.
Place the "sufferer" in close proximity to the object(s) of his (her) obsession, as near to 24 hours a day as possible.
Of course there's a flaw in my reasoning and treatment plan!
The best thing about this approach is its 100% recidivism rate...

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”
