Funny how a fake "Yoko in the News" thread gets more hits on here than something with substance.

Thanks for posting that Paul.

Thanks Paul. I wonder how many fans have been photographed on that zebra crossing because of that great album cover? An excellent shot.

When I went there (1984), noone else was around and it was quiet, a nice day, no tourists...I just sat on the bench near the crossing for a while and took in the view..never walked across the street...lol

Brian, I knew you would appreciate that. May Pang sent it to me as soon as she heard.

Larry, I know I've been photographed there! And I'm quite certain that I wouldn't if not for that album cover.

Paul,

That was very nice of May to send that sad news along. It seems our bridges to the past are being broken strand by strand.

Three cheers for Mr. MacMillan and his work, and for that album cover shot in particular. An iconic group deserves an iconic picture.

The thing about Paul's death, though: eek. We won't be remembering the name of the PR flack who came up with that one. Yeah, right: barefoot means an Italian funeral...it's also the way our ancestors wandered around for a few million years waiting for shoes to be invented. And then there's 281F = 28 IF....say what???

A lot of people have a remarkable aptitude for backing a giant metaphysical load into an impossibly small parking space...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Last Sept I was in London for 24 hours; the first thing I did after checking into the hotel was head out to St John's Wood. I squeezed into the tiny little area that has the statue on the pedestal and took a few shots.

Those are very impressive shots Alan. You obviously have a well developed eye for subject composition and movement.

Thanks for sharing them.
