That is a great sound. Nice job!
I am also interested in the easiest way to be able to record tracks like this to a PC. Were you using an amp for this, or do you plug right into the PC with some kind of analog interface?
When using amps, is this what the XLR interface output is good for? The amp I'm looking at getting soon (Ampeg B200R) has an XLR output.

If you get an interface with both XLR and 1/4 inch inputs, you can connect to and make friends with any number of recording platforms via either Firewire (faster) or USB 2.0 (still pretty damn fast.) That's the simplified version... I run a slightly more complex setup but essentially that's what works. If anyone has questions about a home computer-based recording setup, either check out Tony Carey's excellent forum or feel free to email me offline... I'll talk endlessly about this subject!

What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

The CS didn't sound like that when I had it.......more Lemmy-ish IIRC.
(sounds great Scott!)
I don't know about PC's but on my Apple Powerbook G4 I can just use the 1/4" output on my preamp into an 1/8" adapter then right into the input on the laptop itself. There are plenty of simple/cheap recording interfaces available. For quick recording I use Garageband that came installed and I have a few other programs I tinker with when I need more editing options. I would think there would be a pretty simple way to get external audio into a PC as well.

FWIW, I just bought the new Imac 17 with the dual Intels. It is a fearsome, yet friendly, beast.
I just record direct 1/4 - 1/8 adapter - Imac. I run in GarageBand which came with it. It's been extremely addicting.
I used a Pandora for a little bit of coloring on the slap parts. For the low E parts, I doubled. One with an octaver, one with a amp setting in GB. For the intro riff, I doubled it dry. Two parts played an octave apart.
I've been up late nights recording since I got this thing a week ago. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I love Garage Band and Logic Pro.......very addicting. It's nice to be able to get my ideas recorded before presenting them to my bandmates for ridicule.
Everything is easier (for me) on my Mac.....I'll never own a PC again. Virus....what's that?
I donated no DNA to the CS....I didn't it have it long enough!
