Do'nt kill me ! Toasters / hi-gains ?
What is the tone difference . I am buying 2 for my 4004 but can not decide . I have hi gains in my 77 4001 AG that sound perfect . Will toasters have approximately the same tone in my 4004 ? Thanks for letting me beat a dead horse .
More throttle...Less brakes

the toaster is usually a 7.4k ohm single coil pickup ... there are a few that were made in the 80s that measure 10K ohms +/- ... the 70s high gains are usually wound to 8k ohms ... modern high gains are wound to 11k ohms ...
the toaster is smoother sounding ... and more jangley ... the high gain is hotter and has more output and it growls more ...
and feel free to ask questions here and you are not beating a dead horse ...
