Beatle Gear For Sale - Sure!
Beatle Gear For Sale - Sure!
I can't find the eBay ad today, but yesterday there was a guy selling a Vox Series 90 amplifier. He said that it may have been "one of the Beatles' touring amps". The seller said that he got it from a guy who is a big Beatles fan, who currently has one of Paul McCartney's Hofners up for sale. Didn't the Beatles stop touring in 1966? Didn't the Series 90's start production in 1970? Let's see if we can snag Paul's bass really cheap...
I can't find it either Randy, but it would be interesting to see which Hofner bass he has. As far as I know, only one is missing.

It was up at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame until someone hipped them to the fact that Paul never owned the thing. I think Andy's book talks about it's whereabouts.

I would have to think that over the years that all of them played and touched many guitars and amps and drums, several hofner basses rick guitars gretch guitars ,we don't know what any of them had or owned or what ever. What does it matter if they gave one away or sold it or someone riped it off The music is still there on record. It will not make any difference now or even then. We all see them as they looked in the early days and I too think that was the true Beatles but as time changed as well as them they were changing. They evolved and the music changed, and it could not stay the same. I think it is cool to wonder what they did on the recordings who played what on what instrument or whatever and i cant spell. they were great
