Bob, I'm not superstitious, but I am an Iron Maiden fan.... My next guitar will certainly be a Rickenbacker 660/6.... Congratulations on the post number, I always enjoy your posts, usually learn something from you, and quite frequently agree wholeheartedly with you. Or sometimes not, which is cool too. Congrats!

When I got my license plate, the lady at the DMV counter said, "You don't have to take this number if you don't want it." I can give you the next one." It started with 666. I said, "Cool!" It's on my car, and I'm a 57-year-old overweight, gray-haired, ex-Catholic. Nobody's going to "type" me with some number.

If you are interested in the Biblical significance of numbers in the Bible E.W. Bullinger has written a good book on that subject ...

6 stands for imperfection and 3 stands for completeness so 666 = complete imperfection ...

also 13 stands for rebellion ...

but that pertains to numbers in the Bible ... not numbers in computers and license plates ...

Oh, and I should have thought of this before I married her, but my ex-wife's birthday is 6/6/66. I checked her skull several times, no markings.

It wouldn't mean anything if we used the sexigesimal system.

My ID number (the equivalent of a Social Security Number) includes a 666. My wife's first name, converted to numbers by "Gimatria" - the ancient Hebrew numbering system - is 666.

Hahaha Rob - I saw a t-shirt at a Maiden show that read:

666 - The Number of the Beast
664 - The bloke next door!

If six was nine,
I don't mind...
If the sky falls to the sea,
Let it be...
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...
