How Can I Make My Photo Smaller?

Post by admin »

I get this question almost everyday.

For those wanting to compress the size of photos, there is a free online service available here

This will let you post better quality photos under 36K for free.

Good one JW. Then again, the Rickenbacker is outstanding in its field.

here are some free downloads that could help ... these are freeware ...

http://downloads.vnunet.com/download/graphics/slowview/_12977.html

http://www.gimp.org/

and you may already have microsoft photo editor on your computer and not know it ...

and for inexpensive solutions that are not freeware try photoshop elements or ACDSEE ... both have free 30 day trials ...

This thread title reminds me of the time I had the Navy 'Shrink' on my radio show, and she pulled a question out of the box that had recently been set out in the galley to receive anonymous queries to be answered by her. It said: "Why do I get smaller in the shower?"
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

For Mac users I'd recommend ImageWell...

http://xtralean.com/IWOverview.html

It is a very simple interface that takes a whopping 10 seconds to drag, drop and resize a pic. I keep it on the dock and it comes in very handy. I use Photoshop for more extensive editing but ImageWell is great for simple/quick resizing and basic editing.

I submitted my email address for registration a few hours earlier - still no response... how long does it take to get registered there?

Oops... sorry, that's my mail client again... grrrr...
Another stupid question is, however: how to get the picture out of there?..
