Ric 4003fg w/kahler

Would that be "good" or "bad" ?

I love Kahler bridges ... but not the ones with whammy bars ...

I hate to think of the wood removed to install that bridge ... but on the upside ... there is no mechanical mute!!!

I don't know what the pros might have to say, but on behalf of all my fellow cons: ridiculous.

But the good kind of ridiculous...

I totally agree.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

I once had a bass with a whammy bar (Fender Bass VI) and I never found any good use for it. In the end I didn't even bother to stick the trem arm into place when I took the bass out of its case to play.

That said, few bridges make less sense than the stock Ric bridge/tailpiece, and the Kahler isn't one of them, so...

I can't decide if it's cool or fool. I'd never do it to a Rick, but I'd sure consider picking one up at the right price.
I'm just happy to be here.

Amen to that.

But a whammy bar?! I'm too fat for spandex.
