Wire help !

Post by zoomduck »

I need a clear diagram or photo of 4001 wiring . I am replacing the volume pots . The pots in my 77 AG are square replacements the previous owner installed . They look nothing like the RIC pots I need to install . I have the RIC schematic but that's not working for me . ???

Hi Barry

Here's a pic/diagram of the 4001 wiring. You could replace the .0047 cap with wire if you wanted. Hope it helps.Image4001 wiring

Excellent diagrams Joey. Had to download 'em when I saw them. Much clearer than RIC's efforts. Nice!!

Thanks for your kind words also Mark. The diagrams on the RIC website are also excellent. They are are on the pro level or for people who are familiar with reading schematics, which are easy when you know what you are looking at. My diagrams are for people completely unfamiliar with schematics or just to make a quick check on the wiring of their bass. It's probably a good idea to look at the diagrams of the same instrument on both websites to familiarize yourself with / understand the schematic diagram.
