Could not have been a very large number...although a fair number of double necks I remember seeing in the 70's - early 80's were Ricks...Mike Rutherford had that Brittish one (can't remember the type)...some Gibson 1275's (again think that's the model...the Jimmy Page doubleneck)...can't think of any others.

That one on the 'bay looks beautiful. Makes me think of the time in the mid 80's I saw a used Chapman stick for $175 at a music store in Albany, NY. Didn't have the scratch... Image I knew that was a bad thing. That stick would be worth far more now, would have been fun to have. I think what if I had looked for and found a 4080 in say 1986? How much would I have paid for it then...

I didn't even look at the price of that 4080. I know it's out of my league. Good luck to any around here bidding. Looks to be a worthy prize!

I have seen Danelectro doublenecks. Back in the 80's our local used gear shop had one based on the longhorn design. I should have bought it.....

Mosrite doublenecks too. One in Vintage Guitar Mag this month.
