Double your pleasure

I know that a lot of people here will be shocked to know that I have a “thing” for double necks.

For many reasons it made sense for me to help one of our fellow forum members to reel this one into the family.

I will keep it and play it for one week, and then ship it out.

I have already taken a ton of high def. digital photos for my database.

I will play it out tomorrow night, with some of its’ cousins.

Well, what can I say? 'Rickenbacker magic at its strongest'. Beautiful 4080. Late '70s? Early '80s?
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Those are pretty. Pretty big, but pretty.

Man, that look great in a burst finish!
Major karma points for helping a fellow forumite land one of these, especially such a pretty one! Image

Have you weighed them, Dave? Perhaps a weight listing could be added to your database.
Now I'll have to weigh mine, too.

Dave is the MAN. I am (knock on wood) the lucky forumite of whom he speaks. Can't wait to get my grubby mitts all over that thing. Thanks a million, Dave for the assistance. It only took ten years, but I got one! Now to brush up on my old Genesis tunes... maybe Supper's Ready?

Dave, you are just an unfair person. How about maybe donating some of those 4080s to "charity", possibly the M.E. Drive, or the M.Y.S.E.L.F. Fund . . .
