Wints, am I correct in assuming that this bass was also the one we heard on the records from, say, '67 to 70?. If so, I'm flabbergasted! That must make you feel quite proud when you hear them. I love the sound of the Rick on To Love Somebody especially.

Wints, do you play those Bee Gee songs on it sometimes?

You are correct Fran. It was the bass used on all the hits from that period and on all the major T.V appearances worldwide, such as The Ed Sullivan Show, Top Of The Pops, Beat Club etc.
It is strange seeing it on those shows, then opening the case and looking at it...

I should get a web page up with real good pics and info, so people can fully appreciate it.

Joey, only the "Jive Talking" groove, which was originally done by synth.
It's my favourite track by them....

When I was a kid those songs were big hits on the radio and I used to love the sound of that bass, it was probably the best sounding bass I heard back then and it made a lasting impression on me. I still have their greatest hits LP from 1968.
To Love Somebody: great lines and especially love that one little lone picked note that begins the instrumental line. I have actually played that song several times recently in a band that hires me from time to time.
