Dale: AND he had the b@lls to sign and date each one!
I believe that the $399.00 price is the dealer's get-rid-of-it price, and Hurley possibly got a lot more for them when new.

Haha! Hey Dale, that four-letter word you used, "c**a", is a mildly taboo Portuguese word. It does describe the guitar at issue to a T though. What bothers me most about said guitar is that it sports a (legit? fake?) Rickenbacker TRC.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Yeah, but I wonder where he gave away the other 57?
Or how long they took to burn...

John,
When did hurlers start wearing headgear, gloves and padding? Oh man, I have been away from Ireland for far too long.
I need to take time to dust off the old shillelagh and head back for a bit of fun.

Brian, seems like the kids have to wear helmets nowadays for safety reasons / lawsuits so more players are growing up used to them.
I'd say just half the adult county players do also but not the brave goalkeepers!
Luckily ash wood is not used much for guitars anyway!

John,
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm all for safety but I can't help making the following observation.
Times change and the opportunity to make a quick few quid through litigation (by a very few) is speeding those changes along, or so it would seem.

Paul back in the old days a shillelagh was a weapon that sometimes doubled as a walking stick. So our cultures are somewhat similar? That would not be at all surprising to me.
However, I am glad you caught my little word play.
Anyway, we digress...
