360 pickguard fits 381?

Post by eggman »

Howdy,

Would a 360/330 pickguard fit on a 381? I'd consider a 381, but for the strange looking pickguard. Sorry If I've offended.

There is the problem of the screw which secures the upper right corner. Putting a 360-style guard onto a 381 leaves that screw hole up there...

Not that the guard would fit anyway, you understand...the screw holes will be different.

I did a guard for my own 381 that is transparent acrylic, with the upper one trimmed to a 360-type shape, back painted, and the lower back-painted to the 360 shape, with the "horn" area being left transparent. I engraved a groove on the back of the lower guard to separate the painted from the unpainted area visually.

Paul,
NOW your talking! I like that alot! For me I'd like a 381 in the same color, but with a white instead of gold pickguard. (no offense intended)
Now let me just get my Sno-Cone stand up and running to save a a few cents!
