I've always thought the gold guards of the 660's looked best with blue's and greens. Good examples in the thread - Sea Green, Blue Boy, Blueburst and Turquoise! That Blueburst looks especially nice.... may need to order one before the year is out. And so should you, Melissa! Image

Would love to order a Blueburst, but that was LAST year's COY.... I don't think RIC will accept any more BBR orders.... Image

Wow Dean, that is one classy looking guitar. Ordinarily I don't care for TQ but that one is sweet to be sure. Got the kind of surf-n-turf thing going. Do you always play with all the tone/vol controls opened up?

It may not be too late as it appears that Mike Parks has a couple 660/12 BBRs on order that are not yet spoken for.

Yep, I had a 660BBR on order with him that I later cancelled. That one is still free.

Steve Wood; do you have a cardboard box that a ric bass came shipped in?.. I need to borrow one if you do. I'd come pick it up as I'm an hour away from you....Richard

Hey Richard - I have nothing at the moment, but I'll let you know if the 4004cii BBR I have on order suddenly arrives!

Thanks for the compliments on the TQ guitar. I consider myself lucky to have found it.

I usually start with all the tone controls up and then try to find a sound from there. The magic fifth know is, of course, the wild card....

Some beautiful 660/12's and the first fireglo is very classy. Congratulations. I've been lurking here for quite some time and anxiously await a BBR (literally checking the shipping info every day). Have even seen one available on the web that is testing my patience. Although I really haven't seen a "bad" one, I only hope mine turns out as nice as those you folks have.
Even a fool who remains silent is thought wise.
