Then I responded with ..."I've been holding off on any new purchase IN HOPES of a 75th Anniversary edition in August.
I'm glad I'm not the last hold out.
If, the model you describe were to actually come to pass, I'd take TWO!
"C'mon Mr. Hall, give us some HOPE! Or, at least a hint! Anniversary edition? Is there still hope, "per se' " ?"
THEN MR. HALL RESPONDED WITH THE DEATH BLOW OF...
"The 1996 is as close to an anniversary edition as it's going to get, and you can buy that now."
So I guess that tears it.
And I left a soft warm spot on my credit card for one too.....

I would sell all my gear to get one of those, and a Lemmy.

Buy it before someone else does.
I'm with you Bob, that and some body parts...
I'd pay ALEMBIC prices for something like that.
Oh well, back to the RIC custom shop fantasy..

Joey,
I must admit, yours is the SWEETEST FL I've ever gazed upon...I hope my AFG FL looks 1/2 as sweet! I drool every time I look at it!
IF you EVER decide to sell her, PLEASE keep me in mind. That would be great, a matching pair of 06 Monty's!

Thanks Tony, I can't disagree with you! Your Monty looks pretty sweet also. This bass is just as much a player as it is a looker. I'd like to post a small sound clip of it, but I'm just not getting the great growly mwah that this bass has into the recording. It's not the bass, it's just me not recording it right.

JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Here is a better shot Scott.
Joey, if we put them together, they might produce little 5002's!
Mine is a player too. I sold my 2005 Monty and then tripped upon the 2006, I took a chance and I'm sure glad I did!
BIG difference in neck size and sound. I mean the 05 REALLY had an abnormally FAT neck. She was a beauty to look at, but just too uncomfortable to play. The 06 has a toaster which I think made a heck of a difference. Toss in the vintage push/pull switch, and it was like getting TWO for ONE!
A sound clip would be GREAT. I'd love to hear what a 2006FL sounds like. Hmmmm, must be SO nice.......
