Any record collectors here?
I found two Beatles' 45 singles today, one is Ticket to Ride which says: from the United Artists Release "Eight Arms To Hold You"
The second is (B side of Hello Goodbye) I am The Walrus which has the extra measure during the middle. Supposedly the Ticket to Ride I found is a very early release, also I have the I am The Walrus with the extra measure in a Beatles rarities tape of an LP I made some years ago, does anyone know anything about these 45's?

The first one is mentioned here

Ticket To Ride / Yes It Is.... they say only $10, but it sure sounds like a nice collectible.

Does the "Ticket to Ride" have a picture sleeve? I believe most of the issued 45's of that song have the "Eight Arms to Hold You" stamped on it.
I believe the " I Am the Walrus" version you mention was issued on the "Rarities" album.

If "Ticket to Ride" has the picture sleeve- then you're looking at around $150 for it, depending on condition. It's a rare sleeve. I believe all the original pressings have the incorrect movie title on it. I believe most mono copies of "I Am The Walrus" has that alternate version. If you have the sleeve for that one, You're looking at about $125 depending on condition. Pull up "Perrydcox" on Ebay as a seller, he deals, and writes price guides to Beatles stuff.

I have an old Technics turntable with a new Grado cartridge in it, some records sound more realistic than the CD's. I like CD's for the dynamic range and clarity but a good record kills a CD in realism. I'm still angry at the record companies for pulling all the LP's during the late 80's, we never got a choice, I was forced to buy a CD player.
