Any Reason We Can't Be Told Why Threads Deleted?
Please take this as a honest request for understanding...
Sorry, I'm unclear on something... I posted a thread earlier this morning that has disappeared. While I understand that it was a little off-topic it wasn't that much different than a number of threads that still exist, and it definitely had "some" Ric association...
Recognizing that not all threads are relevant and the moderators do a great job at keeping this place on-topic... Is it out of place to hope that when a thread is deleted (or moved) that we get a quick note telling us why so that we don't make the same mistake again? Particularly when it's not too different than existing threads?
Thanks in advance for enlightening me!

David: Threads are deleted entirely, usually only if they are offensive .
The reason you do not typically get a special post or email is that it is not feasible to notify all participants when a post is removed. I am working really as part of a team of "one" here.
Having said this, your request is a reasonable one and as such you may first like to check The Others topic as this is where all non-Rickenbacker posts typically go.
I need to keep Rickenbacker topics as pristine as possible so that they have meaning. That is not to say that other topics in life are not important, hence the different topic areas offered within The Rickenbacker Forum.
I hope that this answers your question in a meaningful way.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

John and all. I move these threads as I notice them and as time permits. For this reason, the moving of threads may not be as even and consistent as I would like.

Hi Peter, let me say thank you for your quick response. I checked virtually everywhere and couldn't find my original post and thanks to your comment I now know where it ended up.
Please let me be the first (on this thread) to say thank you for the great job that you do. I certainly understand your position and the protocol better now and will definitely be more careful with where I post.
Thanks again and have a great weekend!

It's something that happens occasionally, and Peter explained why...
While OT discussions can and do happen, the idea that started the Walnut bass thread was RIC related. When I posted on here that I'm upset at my 2 guitarists and that I have to arrange their parts...well, that deserved to be deleted or moved.
As I rarely leave this forum, if it was moved it's as good as delete to me, and at this point I've moved on. It stings when it happens, but it's nothing personal.

Above e-mail is inactive. try ed_ardzinski@**** where **** is Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. I tend to see things inthe hotmail box quicker...
