Post by thumper »

i'm a proud owner of a 2005 (february) 4003 jetglow and was interested if it has the walnut wing headstock.

Probably not - it wasn't until Jan. 06 they started shipping with walnut. The vintage tone control went out in December 05.

Just take off the "D" tuner. Look in the most outer screw hole. Enlarge the hole (with a small screw driver) just a bit if you cannot tell by first glance.

If I look very close on my 4001V63JG, I can see the difference in grain between the wings and the neck. Obviously I can't see through JG, but the texture of the JG is slightly different over the wings.

Jeff, care to post a picture of your 4001V63JG on the 'Gorgeous JG/BT' thread?

I see the same difference that Jeff describes on the head of my 4004Cii JG, if I hold to the light in a certain way.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)
