Hey Guys (& Melissa!),

I just wanted to say that I am unable to attend what is surely gonna be the event of the century. I even went so far as to call the hotel & reserve a room (for like an hour).
But I've recently had some new developments in my life - I just found out that my wife & I are expecting our first child. I NEVER thought it would happen to me! So now we are on the hunt for a bigger home with a better school district far away from the ghetto we live in now.
So I can't really justify the trip from the ATL.
I wish like hell I could have been there but I'll be there in spirit!

I expect LOTS of pictures posted & pitchers raised in my absence.

Enjoy....

Chris, it's too bad you won't be able to make it, but it sounds like you have a very good reason not to.... Congrats to you and your wife--news of a new child on the way is exciting, and is something truly worth celebrating! Image Best to you! Image

Congratulations! All the best. Make sure the child has a traditional Rickenbacker upbringing!

Not to steal Chris' thunder, but I will be unable to make the trip as well due to the same reason! My wife and I are expecting our first child in October. We know it is a boy. I want to name the child Rick N. Bickel - but somehow she's not going for it.

I think John Travolta's son is named Jet. Brad Pitt's girl got Shiloh covered. How about Laredo or Cheyenne? Laguna? Jazz-bo?
