Pretty cool. I listened to 3 of the samples. Dhani sure writes w/ his Dad's influence, particularly using the diminished chord on one of 'em.
Hope it doesn't turn out w/ some big producer trying a 'clone' approach, like the first Julian Lennon album. Same vocal EFX, etc.

I'm impressed. Looks AND sounds like his dad, which is not a bad thing. The video is pretty interesting.

It looks like he's wearing the same wig his Dad wore in "All You Need Is Cash"
Listen to that sustain!

First thing I said when I saw what he looked like was "holy sh*t!". He looks exactly like his dad! I'd say he sounds a bit like him too.

He looks like George and his vocal tone sounds like his dads, but for me thats about where it ends.

I think those song clips are very weak... the songwriting is uninspired at best.... IMHO

I thought his material comes across as fresh and vibrant. The blend of his voice on "Truly" in particular, with that of a female singer is intriguing and eclectic.

Overall, I believe that his music is worth investigating further. I personally liked the snippets that I heard.

Dhani certainly is, his fathers son.

I don't know if I'd say uninspired. His father talked about Lennon and McCartney having written their "100 bad songs" before they got to the gold (whereas George was chasing them.) That's know how and drive, which is partly inspiration but, well, know how and drive more than anything else (as George Martin said when they were cutting Please Please Me. They could have quit, or knocked off and had lunch but they always chose work when work was to be done.) Trouble is, it's too easy for rich kids (I know, he's not a kid) to put out their bad songs (whereas Macca and Lepper had to get signed, and get all their stuff past a producer and label. Not a bad thing.) I wonder if he's hungry and driven enough to get past the learning stage and go through the hell known as getting a good band together. I doubt it. Few people with as much has he has are hungry as his Dad once was.

Is Dhani George's biological son?

I thought the video wasn't too bad.

With the right producer Dhani could give a group like The Foo Fighters a good run!

Rick Ruben would do him justice.

"Is Dhani George's biological son? "

He looks just like George, so I'd certainly think he is.

Yes, he is George's biological son...

Someone in the past has mentioned that the scale of musical notes in Indian music reads as follows: Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni... so that's pretty cool Image. Ma + Pa = Dhani Image ... and thus you have a somewhat common name with a unique spelling, and a nod to eastern music and culture.
