I caught the first half of that game and went back to bed Image I ordered my England jersey from thefa.com (it has its own shop) and it was a smooth transaction. Foxsoccershop.com also has international "football" apparel as well.

Snagged my England jersey! With me cheering for the Mother Country, Beckham and the boys will surely reach the Promised Land!

...as long as Wayne is ok...

We'll have to do a lot better than the opener, but we are slow starters.

Shrek is essential for us to progress. No one else like him in the squad. Our first string eleven are a match for anyone, but lose just one player and the quality drops dramatically.

Yellow cards are also a huge factor....

Ouch!!

Great job, 'Roos. Image

3-0?

Maybe we should stick to sports we dominate, like basketball and baseball. Wait, forget I said that...

The problem with the England team, is that we don't have any Torquay United players in it....Image

As a result, I think that we'll only win the final by three goals!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Congrats Howard on the Soceroo's!

My buddy Michael Owen is in "frustrated mode". I did not enjoy watching most of that game. It seemed like most of it was high volleys for super-tall-Crouch to head in and it just didn't work.

Thanks, Alisha. It's a great feeling... for the moment!

I missed the Japan goal and and Tim Cahill's two. Woke up just in time to see Aloisi's. Guess it'll be 'replay time' tonight! Image

I'm not known for my sporting interests, however there was no way I was going to miss Australia's first World Cup Finals match in thirty years.

And what a great match it was....Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi !Oi !Oi!

Watching that come from behind 3-1 win looked as much fun to the Aussie crowd as smashing the Poms at the MCG...

That's where I differ from a lot Aussie fans, Wints. I much prefer a 5 dayer with a nail-biting finish. Of course I'm happier with an Aussie win but if it goes the other way I still enjoy the stoush!! Image

Howard! Tough deal with Brazil but only 1 point needed to move onto the Final 16. I'm pulling for you guys! I just hope that England can take on Sweden and Owen can get back on form. Owen + Rooney = dynamic football duo.

Thanks, Alisha. Brazil were just too good. We had our opportunities but failed to put 'em in the back of the net - Brazil didn't!!

Best of luck to the Poms as well.... Image

Oh what a sad day for Michael Owen! I couldn't believe it...the very first minute! Got by with a tie....but a sad day.
