Remember that story by Ray Bradbury?
Cool pics, Bob! So how does the "baby" feel after first public appearance? Image

Paul, I just commented to my hubby, "Now THAT looks like a guy who might enjoy a nice Cuban cigar!"

Cool pic.... Image

Thanks, Melissa...

Sheena: could you be referring to "The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit"? One of my faves of Mr. Bradbury's.

Yep. Absolutely right. I just wasn't sure about the title - don't have it in English, unfortunately. One of my favorites too, BTW.

White suits are a must have item in the tropics and hot climates. Cool attire Paul. Nice bass too.

When I lived in Brasil, I had a closet filled with white linen. Shirts, pants, suits. Every day required one or two changes of clothing. It was just so hot and humid that 2-3 showers a day were the norm, and each time you shower, you change...

No bath tubs, and no hot water. (Hot showers in 100 degree heat? No way!) We did, however, have 220V heated showerheads that plugged into the wall right above the showerhead. Bare wires, no coverplate on the wall outlet, taped connections. This was in a "luxury apartment"! (four bedrooms, four baths, maid's quarters, about 2000 square feet).

One day I reached up to adjust the temperature--the dial is on the showerhead--and as I touched the showerhead, the entire pipe came out of the wall, spraying water all over me and the 220V outlet at once. You ever see a naked man move at the speed of light?

It all comes down to quality construction. We found that the pipe threads were stripped and the "plumber" had "fixed" them by wrapping them with Teflon tape--lots of it--and jamming the pipe back into the wall.

Human life is cheap in the Third World...

Electricity? No way! Water heater using wood is my choice. That's a cool thing, BTW, and no danger of being electrocuted. Well, it takes about an hour until the water gets hot but worth the wait.
But nothing can compare with heating the water for "bathing" purposes in a big casserole...

Hmmm, colorless clothing with a colorless bass. I hope you have enough personality to make up for such an apparent lack of color (nobody doubts that). That, or a nice Brazilian tan. Really, I'm a little put off by such an obvious and contrived pose - I was wearing a T-shirt and underwear in my picture.

Actually Steve to be technically correct, white is a color, (more accurately it contains all the colors of the visible spectrum and is sometimes described as an achromatic color—black is the absence of color) that has high brightness but zero hue. I am reasonably sure the Curmudge will support me in this observation. Of course he may have other things to say too. LOL

Tony, it was lo-res with low lighting, I think of it as "art". Brian, I was obviously using the right-sided, artistic side of my brain. When I hop on over to the left, and invoke the engineer in me, I suddenly see your point, staring me in the face, like the bright sun - a glaring, fiery mixture of all the colors in the spectrum - white hot - just like my sex life.

No way you're going to see me pics of me playing my Ricks in my underwear. That's what Fenders are for!
