The Legend of the Red Rick

Post by gretafish »

Has anyone read the "Legend of the Red Rick" on a Web site called www.bluesband.com. it's a band out of Austin, Texas and they have a page about a red Rickenbacker bass that supposedly has a curse. It has to be baloney, but it's worth a read anyway.

I'd buy it.

The bass, not the story.
There's also a story about a bass that turns up in several sections of the same website. Now that's really amazing.

Couldn't resist.

That was a marketing (Ad Ranch does branding) company that wrote that story.

They have intentionally created an urban myth. Wacky stories sell and are repeated or passed on and if a brand is present, the brand is remembered.
