Brian, the Canucks need to trade Bert if they are going to go anywhere, it would be better for him and them, trade him for a real goalie and some guys with heart and they could go places.
Chris, I sadly think the Leafs are going to get worse before they get better. They need to cut Sundin loose and get something of value (good young prospects with scoring and grit) while he is still worth something to someone.
I'm sad that the Canes won it, but even more shocked to see Mr. Detroit, Kid Rock, wearing a Hurricanes T-shirt and that stupid freaking bowler hat, standing there conducting a barely lucid interview with CBC, they were asking him what he thought and he was like "Who cares? More Beer!"
I know the owner of the Canes is the head of Compuware, which is also based in Detroit. But when you see that loser, errrrr, frontrunner, errrrr..."borderline musician" soaking in the glow of whatever team wins anything instead of....oh, I don't know, WRITING A NEW SONG, it makes me ill that this TOOL is the people think of when they think of Detroit music, and everyone here treats him like a God because he grew up in Romeo, which, as Eminem says, "He ain't never seen a mile road south of 10."
Oh wait, this is about hockey, right? Luongo to Detroit, Yzerman will play one more year, and Buffalo will win it all next year.

I'm not totally down with the cutting of Sundin. I think he still has a lot to offer. The biggest problem in Toronto what when they got that new GM Ferguson. I think he went out and actively sought every player over 65 years old. Ed Belfour?!? C'mon, that guy is a fossil. A crazy fossil.
And then of course there was the whole Lindros thing. If there was ever a more overrated player I ain't seen him yet. That punk should just wear a pink tutu & skate around at Disney On Ice. Worthless. Once a flyer, always a flyer.
And Kid Rock - you couldn't be more right. Detroit has a proud musical heritage (Uh..Bob Seger & Madonna aside...sorry) but instead of Iggy Pop, the MC5, Nugent, Big Chief, & P-Funk people think the Motor City is that assclown.
I think you know what band I believe is Detroit's MODEL CITIZEN(s)!!!!!!
