It's easy. Listen to the bridge pickup, capped is lacking in bass frequencies,all Rickenbacker... Un-capped, Fender Jazz!!
What d'ya mean... the bass is TOO loud!

Actually the '73's are two different colors in the first two pictures. The one on the left is jetglo and the one on the right is burgundy, the lighting wasn't very good when the picture was taken, and back then the burgundy was mixed very dark like eggplant color. Also the jetglo has missing mute screws. The jetglo is bypassed and the burgundy has the cap intact.
