Buying a 75th year bass in the UK
Just a thought to our RIC loving community here in the UK. If RIC ever produce another very limited edition bass, how can we place an order and make sure that we don’t get left off the list?
I must say that my relationship with my local RIC dealer, Sound Control, Bristol and their relationship with the importers has been 100% hopeless. Every time, but every time I have ordered a part from Sound Control I have NEVER EVER received it!
This does not look good for an important purchase like a LE bass. Any ideas?

Bob (Atherton) - did you see the 4003 Fireglo that Bristol Sound Control had a couple of weeks ago? It was beautiful and flew out of the shop within a few days.
I tested the water by ordering direct from the USA - just a Ric strap from The Rickenbacker Page. Unfortunately it got lost in the post. Mike Parks was truly excellent and sent another one straight away, but it did put me off of a slightly bigger purchase.

Mark, so is it OK to buy a RIC bass from the US now? I know that parts are OK, but didn't know one could get the whole axe. If that's the case I will save money not moving to the US and get any bass of my dreams into the bargain.
Didn't see the FG at Sound Control. Did it have the new walnut wings and was it the 'vintage' FG?

Coda music usually have a good stock at competitive prices. I've had two new 4003's from them and have been very happy with their service.
