Hey, Karl, how did you find that?Image
BTW, judging by the comments, people who posted there (including the owner, as it seems) believe it's a real 330. I'm not an expert but it seems to me something is strange about that guitar.
Paul - well, i always kinda knew you had a good taste...Image

Looks like TRC says it's a 650 (or a 630? hard to say for sure).

That is a fake TRC. Cleverly made to resemble an early '80s. The typeface is all wrong.

Guitar is custom-made.

Good eye Mark.

Sheena go for it. Ask them the story behind this guitar for us.

I've sent a comment, but looks like it didn't appear on the page. Oh well. Maybe it'll take some time, or maybe it wasn't accepted. I dunno. And even if they did receive it, i'm not sure what are the chances they'll give an answer. Let's see.

Well we are a very patient lot here on the forum, so it's no problem to wait to see if they respond.

Thanks for doing that for us.

Well, Sheena...
If you really want to know how I found the pic...
I woke up one Tuesday morning, made me a nice cup of coffee, browsed through my newly received e-mails, and found the wallpaper on my desktop to be quite nauseous (my girlfriend's Final Fantasy Advent Children wallpaper). I wanted a nice picture, something colorful, something that would awake my creative spirits, something powerful yet delicate: A nice closeup on a 4003FG... Since I didn't have a cam with me, I couldn't take pictures of my beloved "Christine" and, due to the fact I don't have much experience with the art of photography, I couldn't possibly think of using the pictures I have already taken of my dear baby. Then I had the most surprising idea: GOOGLE. Yes! That might just work! So, I made some searches on terms like "4003", "4001", "Rickenbacker basses" and so on, but nothing was at my taste nor big enough for my desires. Another idea struck me: YAHOO. Wanting the most wide results, I entered "Rickenbacker" in the search field, then clicked "Large" to filter out the results, and, after scrolling through 5 or 6 pages... I found it! I found THAT pic of the Russian photograph. Wham! I was so surprised and enthousiastic, I saved the pic immediately and placed it carefully in MY folder... Then, realising my girlfriend (not the Rick... the other one) would never let me change her wallpaper since it's HER computer, I just gave up all hope and returned to my normal life... *sigh*

Sad story isn't it?

Have a nice day everyone!!!
;D

(And I agree... it must be a faker... and the girl looks like Susanna Hoffs)

Nice story, Karl - somehow similar to the story of me finding this forum...Image
And, being a Stephen King fan, i must say: i hope you'll be much luckier with the guitar named Christine than Arnie Cunningham was with his car... sorry, couldn't resist. Image
BTW (sorry for an offtopic): what's the story about 1 1/2 rat?!

I mean "pets" section in your profile Image 5 cats, 3 mice and 1 1/2 rat.
Well, if it was new, i'd guess you won't have troubles. But please don't sell it to an innocent youngster. Image

OOOOH! That 1 1/2....

I think I have to update my profile...

At that time I had 2 rats, but one escaped from her cage and hid for months beneath our floor (no damage caused Image). She died months later...
Now I have 12 cats (one gave birth to 5 toooooo cute babies), 2 dwarf-hamsters, 1 white ultrafluffy hamster and a woman.

I played so much on my Rick, not even an innocent youngster would want her...
