Once upon a time I had the whole Marshall stack thing happening...I'm sorry...what's that you said?....you'll have to speak up...I'm a little deaf you see!
I would love to have heard a Rickenbacker through this set up - eight vintage green back Celestions!

Peter, thanks for your very informative posting earlier. I look forward to when you have some sound clips available.

Darren: are you telling me there's a late 60s/early 70s full Marshall stack somewhere in Melbourne? Who bought it, how much, how long ago?
I've got a '69 Super Bass, and 70's slant 4x12, but my head is recovered with Vox style vinyl, so it doesn't match the speakers. I've never seen an old straight cabinet, only a few slant cabinets, and even these are pretty rare.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left.
Mark,
In the early '90s, when I lived in Adelaide, I had the Marshall stack pictured above, along with a '58, a '63, a '64 and a '65 Fender Strat. I had a '64 Fender Vibroverb as well.
All of these were eventually sold, item by item, as other things took my fancy. At the time I made good money on them, however with the benefit of hindsight I should have kept some of the best guitars and amps.
Unfortunately I don't know where any of these items are now. The strats ended up at Jacksons Rare Guitars and could be anywhere! Bugger!

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Nice Mike. What is your favourite pickup position and Marshall setting for your Rickenbacker.

This has nothing to do with this thread but I couldn't help mention when I saw the topic name that there is a local acoustic duo with the name . . .
