Skunk stripes (actually a shadua strip) appear to have started either in late 71 or in 72 (mine is a June 72), and continued through the end of the 4001 production in 1980 or thereabouts. I had Ted Staberow put on the walnut wings, but they're small because the headstock shape was smaller in the early '70s.
The finished bass will debut at the RIC 75th/SoCalCon the end of August. Just one more reason you all should go.
