Question then: will RIC be phasing in the new neck profile or is there a definitive start date for it? Or has it already started? Sorry to re-ask if I someone has already answered this.

Being that diamonds are the traditional 75th anniversary stone... maybe something sparkly. Diamond encrusted pick guards and shark fin fret markers for the Gates and Buffets of the world. We working class heroes could get the zircon or rhinestone versions. This on some kind of silverburst-Glo or platinumburst-Glo - limited edition of course.

If the finish was discovered 'by mistake', then it's likely to be a combination of existing paints and undercoats.

Possibly someone was going to spray a BlueBurst but used Jetglo paint giving JetBurst?

Although, John has mentioned metallic, so it's unlikely to be a burst finish. Maybe someone was going to spray a MID (before the new out of the can formulation) but used Jetglo over a metallic base? Would that work? What would that look like? Diamondglo?

All speculation and a lot of fun...

Maybe they were going to make a batch of 4003's, and accidentally made a truckload of V68's instead! Image

Does anyone have still pictures of the white/white 4003 which Andrew Winter used to have? It also had a toaster and a HS.
