Thanks, Russ. To gold plate the toasters, did you have to pull the metal toaster cover off, or is there a way to put a resist on the remainder of the pickup? If I do this, I'll want to plate the treble pickup surround, cover, and tailpiece as well. And maybe the tuners. Somebody here might swap a gold-plated set of Grovers for my chrome pair, however.

Beautiful grain and presentation-look. The first pic popped up on the screen and I said an audible WOW. I like the way the gold looks against the pristine maple. And the gold hilights in the grain of the maple - especially the headstock.
The F-hole looks just right on it. Really nice.

Somewhere in the vintage 325 folder I recounted how, about 20 years ago, I knew someone who had a mid 60s JG 325with gold hardware. The gold was pretty well worn though. Some people here said they think it was stock. It was sold used as stock. If that person still has that guitar they certainly have a gem.
